CASTELL D'AGE

organic.png

A STORY OF A THREE GENERATIONS OF WOMEN

Castell d’Age cellar belongs to Junyent Family and it is been now three generations of women in the family running it and owning it.  The vineyard is located in Penedes and with the influence of the Mediterranean weather they get high quality and balanced organic wines and cava

Over 20 years ago, Anne Marie began to cultivate and produce organic wines and cava. The next generation is been continuing this practise plus they have gone one step further with the biodynamic agriculture too. A method that respects the relationship between man and earth. The results are there to be seen and to be tasted.

They started to cultivate their vineyards over 50 years ago. Castell d’Age currently owns six estates, all located in the D.O. Penedès. They work with different types of soil and they play with different altitudes. Each variety finds the most suitable environment and it can express its great potential.
Castell d’Age wines and cava are produced in the winery following E.U. organic regulations.

Their philosophy and way of doing is "patience, we take as much time as needed, no rush".
